MSc Cyber Security

The MSc Cyber Security programme equips students with specialist knowledge and practical skills to address modern cyber threats. The course focuses on infrastructure security, cyber operations, penetration testing, digital forensics, and information security management, preparing graduates for careers in the rapidly growing cyber security sector.

Students study infrastructure security, network defence, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), cyber operations, penetration testing, cyber defence, digital forensics, information security management, and secure systems design. Practical learning takes place in purpose-built cyber security laboratories, enabling students to develop the analytical and technical skills required to protect organisations against evolving cyber threats. Graduates are prepared for careers as Cyber Security Analysts, Security Consultants, Penetration Testers, Digital Forensics Specialists, Security Engineers, and Information Security Managers

A recognised bachelor's degree (minimum UK 2:2 or equivalent) in Computing, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
IELTS 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in each band) or an equivalent English language qualification.
